What is Cargirlsociety?
For over 7 years Cargirlsociety has been committed to all women and minorities in the automotive scene. Together we want to make the tuning community a place of cohesion and acceptance.
On social media such as Instagram and Facebook, we connect “cargirls” from around the world and offer a safe place to share their passion for the car.
What is your goal with Cargirlsociety?
In a perfect world, we would completely reform the car scene and its values. For a community that is so proud of solidarity and cohesion, there is too much misogyny, envy and hatred behind the scenes. We want to make it a place where every person feels safe and represented with everything that makes him unique.
Who is behind Cargirlsociety?
The main team consists of 3 girls. Lina (admin and store owner), Vanessa (co-founder) and Nadine (co-admin and marketing). We entertain this project in our free time. Our website is hosted by Alex and the production runs through Melissimo and now partly internally.
How much do you earn with Cargirlsociety?
We work non-profit, that is, we do not make a profit with our sales. The prices are calculated to cover approximately the current costs of the store. Merch Because car enthusiasts are naturally bankrupt, we didn’t want to take $30 for a shirt, so you can put more money into your already over-budgeted car.
When are there new products?
We always have more ideas than we can implement and it takes a while to finish the designs and put them into production. Announcements for new Merch are always available on Instagram. Follow us there to get all the updates.
What do I need to do to become a member?
We do not have any official membership, registration or club contributions. Anyone who identifies with our values can become a part of Cargirlsociety. Free and without registration. Anyone who wants, of course, can buy some merchandise or ask for a feature on our site via Instagram.
Where is your stuff made?
Single-colour sticker for this store is directly produced by us, as we now own our own plotter. So we can also respond to special requests faster. Rest stocks still come from Friloos Printbude and Melissimo, two hobby productions also from NRW. The colorful, printed sticker are produced through WIRmachenDRUCK in collaboration with German printing companies. Spreadshirt in Leipzig and printed.
What is the durability of your stickers?
This, of course, always depends on the surface, the film and the weather conditions. Linas red sticker on the doors lasted 6 years without problems and even survived a round of polishing before they were removed due to a new design. The white on the rear disk has seen a lot of disc washers and lost only a small piece all the time. From three Oilslick stickers on another car, after almost 4 one has started to fold off. Many of our members have also had their sticker since the beginning on their cars.
How do you feel about sustainability?
“Auto scene” and “environmentally friendly” did not really fit together in the past.We believe that one does not have to exclude the other. You can drive a cool car and still strive for environmental protection. No one lives climate neutral, that is simply not possible.
But we can reduce our resource consumption and balance the ecological footprint. stickers produce plastic waste, clothing causes emissions, but by keeping our production locally, we do not have long transport routes and shipping over the DHL Climate Neutrality Program We also support the Federation for the Environment and Conservation of Nature Germany. The founders of Cargirlsociety also engage in similar projects in private because it is a matter of our hearts.
We only have one planet, so let’s be nice with it. Oh, and a few years ago we planted 75 trees during a project.
How long does the shipment take?
Letters and packages leave the post office at 4 p.m. (11 p.m. on Saturday). However, it is not always possible to bring orders there the same day as we have regular jobs and dates. The post takes about 1-3 days for deliveries within Germany, international shipping can take up to 4 weeks, depending on the country.
Can I get a refund?
If something is wrong with your product (e.g. the film is damaged or the shirt has a quality defect), just contact us. We will check all orders before packing, but we may also overlook a defect. Usually you will either get your money back if the product is still usable or we will simply send you a new one.
