FAQ

What is Cargirlsociety?

For over four years, Cargirlsociety has stood up for all women and minorities in the car scene. Together we want to transform the tuning community into a place of cohesion and acceptance.

On social media like Instagram and Facebook, we connect “cargirls” from all over the world and offer them a safe place to exchange their passion for cars.

What is your goal with Cargirlsociety?

There’s so much misogyny, envy, and hatred for a community that boasts itself on solidarity and unity.

Who is behind Cargirlsociety?

The main team is a group of 4 girls: Lina (admin and shop owner), Vanessa (co-founder), and Carmen and Laura (co-admins). We’re doing this project in our free time. Our website is hosted by Alex, and Friloo and Melissimo do production.

How much do you earn with Cargirlsociety?

We’re non-profit, meaning we, as the owners, do not make any money with our sales. Prices are calculated to vaguely cover the cost of running the shop. Merch available for all our members, and because car people are naturally broke, we didn’t want to charge €30 for a shirt so that you can burn more money in your already over-budget car.

When are there new products?

We always have more ideas than we can implement and it takes a while to finish the designs and put them into production. Announcements for new Merch are always available on Instagram. Follow us there to get all the updates.

What do I need to do to become a member?

We do not have any official membership, registration or club contributions. Anyone who identifies with our values can become a part of Cargirlsociety. Free and without registration. Anyone who wants can buy some merchandise or ask for a feature on our site via Instagram. Just send a few pictures and an information text in English about themselves and the car (or the cars).

Where is your stuff made?

Stickers and clothing for this store are made in hobby production near Münster and Essen. Spreadshirt in Leipzig Support some local.

What is the durability of your stickers?

Well, that, of course, always depends on the surface and the weather conditions. My red sticker on the doors I have been on since 2019 and they have even survived a round of polishing. The white on the rear disk has seen a lot of my disc washer (I use it really often) and only lost a small piece all the time. I had three Oilslick stickers on my old car for almost 4 years and one has finally started to fold off.

How do you feel about sustainability?

“Auto scene” and “environmentally friendly” did not really fit together in the past.We believe that one does not have to exclude the other. You can drive a cool car and still strive for environmental protection. No one lives climate neutral, that is simply not possible.

But we can reduce our resource consumption and balance the ecological footprint. stickers produce plastic waste, clothing causes emissions, but by keeping our production locally, we do not have long transport routes and shipping over the DHL Climate Neutrality Program The founders of Cargirlsociety are also privately engaged in similar projects as it is a matter of our hearts.

We only have one planet, so let’s be nice with it. Oh, and a few years ago we planted 75 trees during a project.

How long does the shipment take?

Letters and packages leave the post office at 4 p.m. (Saturday 11 p.m.). However, it is not always possible to deliver orders there the same day as we have regular jobs and dates. DHL takes approximately 1-3 days for deliveries within Germany, international shipping can take up to 4 weeks depending on the country.

Can I get a refund?

If something is wrong with your product (e.g. the film is damaged or the shirt has a quality defect), just contact us. We will check all orders before packing, but we may also overlook a defect. Usually you will either get your money back if the product is still usable or we will simply send you a new one.
